I hate having to think this hard to say exactly what i have to say, but if you're trying to get a point accross, you have to write it so people understand the first time and that takes a little longer.
You know the only reason, well at least the Main reason, I have not finished my gothic lolita dress is because gothic lolita is a fashion that you just HAVE to show off to other people. Especially if it's home made. I mean if you go to the effort to 1) take your own measurments 2) find or even create your own sewing pattern 3) draft the pattern pieces, in some cases you probably speant $15 - $25 on an issue of Gosurori or Gotic lolita bible ( MaNa is a DUDE. Take that out of your Poky box and munch on that for awhile) 4)Buy fabric which can run you $20 since ruffles aren't cheap and don't get me started on venise venice or what ever it's called lace. That stuff tends to run 3.95yd and you'll need at least 5yds for a boring dress, God help the sewing Loli fans who do something like this,
[link] , or this
[link] . And those aren't even the really hard examples. And then what happens after you take this exspensive dress you worked foever on and dropped a freaking butt load of money into and take a picture of it? Well, after the other lolitas probably gripe about the quality of lace, you'll probably end up as a crpation on cracked.com or 4-Chan. i vistit one but not the other yet the thought of showing up at either site makes my a pissedoffedtemist. so unless i can figure out how to make an un savable pic i'd never be able to show off my dress.
This is one of the reasons I love Barbara Deckert's site,
[link] , she's the authoress of one of my favorite books on sewing, Sewing for Plus sizes. She manages to make clothes that look great on everyone! That's art. Just art you wear instead of art you hang on the wall. Tho i guess if she made a kimono you could hang that... I'm wandering away from the topic. sorry. i'm touchy about this one. I'm not skinny and unlike taking a shower for having B.O. you can't lose weitgh instantly.
Do you notice the last groups it's Ok to make fun of still are gay, fat people and, god bless 'em, the anthro fans, i.e. "furries"?
...anyone else think that a lot more songs are about sex than they previously thouhgt?
